The L Word is BACK!
I didn't even know the 5th Season started until my sister (who is happily married {to a man} w/ 3 children) called me the other day screaming from disappointment about Shane's long hair and how the show has lost its' edge... well at least Season 1 through 4 were great and they're available on DVD! Martis Dies
Once again it's Tuesday and although I will take in some mainstream pop tunes from Ne-yo @ Spotlight Live in NYC tonight, I want to introduce an artist that is not yet on the mainstream radar but soon will be. Introducing... Marques Toliver! This kid (he's only like 20yrs. old) plays the violin and guitar and his voice sounds like an intermix of Cody Chestnutt and John Legend. His sound can be described as folksy, soulful, goodness (well at least that's how I like to describe it)... enjoy!

Ode to Joy!
Designer Christian Joy is best known for her abstract outfits worn by Karen O from the Yeah, Yeah, Yeahs, but this Spring she will be known for her first ready-to-wear collection. Much of the collection is simple black & white (although dresses are accented with hints of red) but maintains Joy's playful and abstract trademark. O (pictured above) is also featured in the lookbook on Joy's website.

Thought this was pretty cool... just some random thoughts by some pretty interesting people. Other screen tests feature actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt from "3rd Rock from the Sun" and "Mysterious Skin", and French actress Marion Cotillard of "La Vie en Rose".

It's A Boy!
Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman welcomed baby boy Max Liron Bratman to the family, on Saturday at Cedars-Sinai in L.A. (yup! same spot Nicole Richie gave birth to her baby girl).

Martis Dies
Since albums drop every Tuesday I decided to take this time and platform to introduce artists that I feel should be seen and heard that you may not have seen or heard before so w/ that said... I introduce to you... Farrah Burns!
Farrah Burns performing at a female rap showcase in NYC, Roxanne Shante, VIBE mag. Assoc. Editor Shanel Odum and myself judged the artists performance, and yes Burns went home w/ the $5,000 grand prize.
